College Scholarship Application 2024 - 2025

To apply for this scholarship, you must be a YCI Certified Ambassador with Honors with an active Howard County chapter. Scholarship applications are reviewed by a committee consisting of Howard County Conservancy staff and volunteers. Recipients will be informed at the April 26th Climate Action Showcase. If you are selected to receive the YCI scholarship, a check will be sent to you upon forwarding confirmation of enrollment in a college or university to the Conservancy. Up to $1500 will be given out in awards of $500 - $750. Deadline: April 4, 2025 by 5 PM.

In 200-300 words, explain how YCI has prepared you as an environmental leader. Include examples of where you felt empowered to take action and perhaps, how you were part of the larger picture of collective action.
In what ways have you gone above and beyond the requirements of YCI? Include any information on leadership roles, and environmental/climate action or volunteering that you have taken outside of your chapter.
