Student Application 2026

Thank you for your interest in the Youth Climate Institute, which is a program of the Howard County Conservancy. By completing this application, you are already distinguishing yourself with the opportunity for collaboration with other students, climate change experts, and environmental decision makers. It is necessary for all those involved in the Youth Climate Institute to commit to participating in discussions on five climate topics through meetings facilitated by your chapter leader and contribute to your chapter's action project. Please refer to your chapter leader's policy on chapter meeting attendance. Students will be notified of their admittance to the Youth Climate Institute on a rolling basis as their complete applications are submitted. The sooner you get your applications submitted, the sooner you will be notified. You will be contacted by your chapter leader if your application is accepted. If you have any questions about the status of your application, reach out to support@youthclimateleader.org. Note: If you are applying during the summer, you may not be contacted by your chapter leader until the school year starts and your chapter begins activities.
